Humans of FHC: Chloe Grooters
“My life revolves around sports. I plan my week around practices, games, meetings, and team bonding. Although this can get tiring sometimes, I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of multiple teams and be around the most encouraging and amazing people on the planet, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
I’ve played basketball and soccer since I was about four years old. My parents enrolled me mainly because they played as kids, and I’ve been playing ever since. Being a part of a team my whole life has taught me so much about life and has opened so many doors for me. Getting close to people that you normally wouldn’t choose to be friends with is eye-opening because you see aspects of life that you might not see if you stay inside of your little group of friends. Since I’ve grown up around different coaches, teammates, and parents, I’ve had a lot of role models to look up to and shape my morals into what they are today. All this said, I’m forever grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given through these teams and for all the things I’ve taken from being a part of them.”
