Girls ski team places first in both races on Tuesday
The girls varsity ski team had a phenomenal day at yesterday’s races out at Cannonsburg. After having a great run at Caberfae on Friday, the team ended up taking home first place as a team in both the GS and SL races.
Juniors Courtney Mcalindon and Kayley Reynolds led the team to its victory yesterday, with the two of them taking first and second in both events. Kayley placed first in the SL race with a time of 33.75 seconds and another time of 33.40 seconds. She also got second place in the GS races with a starting time of 26.51 seconds and an ending time of 26.48 seconds. Courtney received first place in the GS races with times of 26.71 seconds and 26.12 seconds. In the SL race, Courtney placed second with a time of 34.4 seconds and an ending time of 33.59 seconds.
Freshman Abby Mcalindon placed 12th in the SL with a beginning time of 36.7 seconds and an ending time of 36.61 seconds. Abby also placed 7th in the GS with a start time of 27.37 seconds and a second run time of 27.62 seconds.
The girls varsity ski team will race again at Cannonsburg next Tuesday, Feb. 6.
