Boys golf places 4th In Rockford Invitational
Over the weekend, the FHC boys varsity golf team played at Cedar Chase Golf Course in the Rockford Invitational. As a team, the boys performed very well. Leading the team with the lowest score and shooting even par was Mike Batiste with a 72 which earned him second place individually in the tournament. The next lowest score came from Jack Lorenz with an 80, then Mason Kistler with an 82 and Nathan Hartline with an 86. Each player improved their score since the last Jamboree and as a team, they shot 320 and they placed 4th at the invitational.
This tournament was the first event played on the Cedar Chase course this season so the greens were a little slow and some places on the course were difficult to shoot on because of the snow still on the ground. The Jamboree took a long time because of the course conditions but the current weather was very nice and made it a great day to be outside and golfing for the team. The boys will be up again today at 3:30 at Watermark Country Club.
