Rugby loses a close game to Traverse City Alliance 32-24
Rugby had its closest game to date this Friday against Traverse City Alliance, only losing by a tri 32-24. Senior Seth Udell believed the team chemistry helped propel the team to a closer game. The Rangers worked their back men and were able to have a successful game.
Sophomores Wyatt Engler and Trevor Lewis were both in the back and were able to score a tri each. Not only did they get FHC’s score higher, they were able to stop some of Traverse City’s key plays. Senior Seth Udell was also able to get a tri. Together, FHC was able to play their best game of the season, even though they were down two players. The Rangers are beginning to have team chemistry, which should be able to increase their odds in getting into the playoffs.
The Rangers hope to improve their record and get into the playoffs. This loss puts the Rangers at 0-3 in conference play. Their next game is against the Marshall Red Hawks at home on Thursday.
