Girls varsity soccer secures 8-0 win over Greenville
The Rangers girls varsity soccer team took on the Greenville Yellow Jackets last Friday and crushed them 8-0. The Rangers had already beaten them once before in conference play, and they were hoping for another big win.
The Rangers started off the first half strong. FHC’s first goal came from junior Ashley Ward who was able to place the ball in the back of the net within the first ten minutes of the game. The next goal came from senior Ali Czarnecki who received a cross pass across the box from fellow senior Rylee Hrnyak. Ali scored 2 more goals while Ashley tacked on 1 more. The Rangers came back out in the second half and scored 2 more goals, concluding the game in a mercy.
Ashley and Ali were the team’s leading players that night. They played hard and were able to make the way up the field to not only assist in goals, but score them as well.
The Rangers move to 12-2 and will face off against Cedar Springs on Tuesday May 22 at 7.
