How long have you been playing soccer?

“I have been playing soccer since I was about 5 years old.”

How is the team doing?

“The team is doing alright, we started off rough against three very good non-conference teams that we held down to the wire. However, now we have entered conference play and already have two very solid wins.”

What is your favorite part of the sport?
“My favorite part about the sport is that you need a group of good players to create a good squad and that not one individual can make a team great.”

Who is a professional athlete that inspires you?

“A professional athlete that inspires me is Mesut Ozil. The way he plays the game, not by being the strongest or fastest athlete but the smartest. He shows me that the smartest players can outplay even the most athletic.”

Do you have a quote that inspires you to become a better player?

“‘I just hate losing and that gives you an extra determination to work harder.’ Wayne Rooney. Anytime I lose a game, especially for my school, I get upset and just like Wayne says it pushes me to practice and play that much harder next time.”
