Boys varsity tennis beats Northview 5-3

After the fifth-place finish in the last tournament, the Rangers looked to improve and they did. This past Tuesday, the varsity tennis team took on Northview at home, where they ultimately won the match with a final score of 5-3.

The Rangers swept in the doubles matches, giving them a huge jump in scoring. Sophomore Chris Battiste and junior Advith Reddy, who are one double, came in strong right off the bat, winning their match. They won their first set 6-4 and the other by a score of 6-0. Singles also had a good night, with one single junior Nick Sjolin winning his first set with a score of 6-4 and the second set with a score of 6-3.

Northview is a very tough opponent, which makes this win more valuable to the Rangers. This now makes FHC’s OK White Conference record 1-1. FHC will be playing in the Midland Dow Quad on Wednesday.
