JV volleyball team wins against Northview 2-0
At the beginning of the season, the girls JV volleyball team beat Northview in a tough battle 2-1. This time around, the Rangers were able to defend their winning title. FHC had a tough time playing with the same energy that they have been playing with all season, but they were still able to win 2-0.
The Rangers began the match with a slow first set. Halfway through the set, the Rangers were down 14-9. Eventually, FHC was able to pull the lead out and win the first set 25-21. Sophomores Katie Costello and Emma Lohr were the key players for the first game. Katie had good sets and looked to change up the offense to try to help the Rangers win, and Emma had good hits and was consistent. The second set was not much better for the Rangers; they still weren’t playing with their normal energy. However, FHC was able to gain more of a lead and beat the Wildcats 25-16. Freshman Remmie Ingraham was an important player in the second set. She had some great hits and had a lot of energy. Sophomore Delaney Tucker also played an important role in the second game. She had good sets that Remmie was able to finish off.
After a tough battle, FHC was able to defeat the Wildcats and keep their winning streak alive. This win puts the Rangers’ OK White Conference record at 7-1. The Rangers are ready to continue their winning streak against Cedar Springs on Thursday.
