Why do you play volleyball?

“I play volleyball because I really enjoy the sport and my friends also play it. My sister also played volleyball, which inspired me to play.”

Who has been the biggest inspiration in your volleyball career?

“My sister has been my biggest inspiration. She doesn’t play anymore, but when she did we played the same position and it was always fun to go to practices together and pass together.”

Talk a little about your time being a part of FHC volleyball team, this year and previous years.

“Last year being on the FHC freshman volleyball team was a little chaotic because we had three coaches throughout the season and we were never really able to grow as players. Although I still loved going to practices especially when Bri Tilton became our coach. This year I have loved this season and going to practices and my team is amazing.”

What is a quote that inspires you?

“’Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive about what could go right.’ This is my favorite quote because you have to be very mental when you are playing volleyball and have a lot of self-confidence and only focus on the good.”

What is the best part about playing volleyball?

“I think the best part of playing volleyball is when your team wins an amazing game and everyone is smiling and yelling and the gym is full of energy. The moment is bittersweet because I know that I won’t be able to play this sport my whole life.”
