Humans of FHC: Katrina Bodkins

“I went on [the Dominican Republic Spanish trip] because a lot of my friends were going on it, and I really liked Señor [Silvestre] as a teacher. I had him my sophomore year, so I [thought that] it would be a lot of fun [to go]. I think he did it my freshman year, but I didn’t go on it. I knew I really wanted to go on it, and hearing him talk about it and all the stuff they did sounded really interesting. I just wanted to go to help out but also further my Spanish speaking. I thought [it was] a great opportunity. It definitely [lived up to my expectations]. It was so much fun. I met a lot of people through it, and it was a lot of work, but we also had a ton of fun.”
