Competitive cheer places third in the first OK White Conference Meet of the season

Wednesday night, the competitive cheer team performed in its second meet of the year. Despite not having practiced for two weeks, the team placed third out of five teams.

In round one, the team earned 205.1 points. Adding a back handspring into round two, the team earned 191.24 points. After this they were in second place with 396.34 total points. 254.3 points in round three set them behind the second-place team by a mere 8 points.

Sophomore Enya Burrows and freshman Josie McGuire both stood out throughout the night. They both performed admirably despite having been thrown into new spots and routines at the last minute.

This was the first OK White Conference Meet of the season. The team’s next competition is tonight at Wyoming.
