Competitive cheers earns fourth and first place at recent competitions

Last night, the competitive cheer team competed in the West Catholic Invite. After three rounds, the team had a total of 672.24 points and took home fourth place.

The night started well for the Rangers, and they were in second place going into both round two and round three. They earned 219 points in round one and 191.94 in round two for a total of 410.94 points; however, in round three Forest Hills Northern and Mason knocked the Rangers down to fourth place after FHC earned 261.3 points in the final round. The fight for third place was close between Mason and the Rangers, but FHC came up short by a mere 7 points.

Senior Jordan Boltres, junior Josie Wagenaar, and junior Meredith Carpenter all performed really well throughout the night. Also, senior Brooke Betz and sophomore Delaney Niswonger were both thrown into new routines and positions and were still able to execute to contribute to the team.

In addition to this competition, the team had another last Saturday. The Rangers earned 676.86 points and took home first place at the Wyoming Wolves Invite. FHC’s next meet is this coming Wednesday, where the girls will compete in the second OK White meet of the season.
