How long have you bowled?
“I only started bowling last year when I tried out for the team.”
What are you most excited for during the remaining part of the season?
“For the rest of the season, I’m most excited to try to win a few more matches, which has been a struggle for our program historically.”
What’s special about being on the bowling team?
“The bowling team is special because it’s like a normal sports team where you make friends and enjoy each other but without all the running.”
What is the team looking to do in the remaining part of the season?
“The team is looking forward to getting a few more victories and possibly even placing in the tournament at the end of the season.”
What are some personal goals for you this year?
“My personal goals are to break my personal record and to bowl at least seven strikes in a row in a match.”
How did it feel to bowl a 245?
“When I bowled a 245, it felt surreal. I had done terribly at practice the previous week, so bowling that well helped me regain my confidence.”
How did you get into joining the bowling team?
“I joined the team because my coach, Grant Vermeer, was my youth group leader, and I knew he needed kids to join. Plus, I was looking for something to do.”
