Competitive cheer scores high at the Comstock Park Invite
The Forest Hills Central Rangers took home second place out of the four teams this Wednesday, as they competed in the Comstock Park Invite. Along with placing so high, the Rangers had their highest-scoring competition of the season, as they went on to score 701.72 points overall in the three rounds.
In the first round, the Rangers scored a phenomenal 217.8 points, which is one of their higher scores for the season in round one. Next, in round two, the Rangers had another successful round, scoring a 196.92; this allowed the Rangers to go into round three with a very high score of 414.72. In the third and final round, the Rangers scored their highest amount of points with a remarkable 287.0 points.
Several Rangers showed impeccable leadership last night throughout all three rounds as seniors Maija Dickens and Grace Conn took control of the team. Along with them senior Dora Pomeroy, and sophomores Emily Brom, Delaney Niswonger, and Hannah Cunningham were together in a stunt group, and they performed flawlessly.
That was the Rangers’ final competition of the regular season, and they were able to come out of it with a second-place victory.
