Varsity softball has stand out game against Ottawa Hills 39-1

Last night, the Lady Rangers faced off against the Ottawa Hills Bengals. The Rangers started off the game with a huge lead and high energy. FHC didn’t lose this energy for the rest of the game, as the Rangers went on to win the game 39-1.

The Rangers had 17 runs in the first inning, 14 in the second, and 8 in the third inning. FHC had great success in hitting last night; senior Emma Davis led the team in batting. She had 3 home runs, 1 walk, 1 single, and 6 RBIs. Junior Jordyn Carlson had 1 triple and 2 doubles. Senior Molly Donovan had 2 doubles, 3 walks, and 3 RBIs. Senior Hailey Enbody had 3 singles and 5 RBIs, while junior Maizey Szczepanek had 2 singles, 2 doubles, and 4 RBIs.

Sophomore Faith Addington had a good night in the circle, allowing only 2 hits on the night. She also struck out 5 batters and walked 0.

With this win, the Rangers’ overall record is 7-6 and their OK White conference record is 6-1. The Rangers’ doubleheader against Ottawa Hills was canceled for tonight and moved to Thursday at home.
