Addi Tack leads girls JV soccer to 9-0 mercy win over Greenville
With an undefeated record and five-game winning streak, the girls JV soccer team came into the matchup with Greenville with the mindset of continuing that win streak as quickly as possible.
The girls did just that as when the halftime horn sounded, the game was over and the teams shook hands. In the 9-0 mercy win, the Rangers started scoring quickly and never looked back. Attack after attack, the girls looked like they were about to knock another one in.
Freshman Addi Tack led the charge offensively for the Rangers, scoring almost half of the team’s goals with 4. Besides Addi, there were five separate goalscorers that rounded out the nine-goal victory. The freshman trio of Madison Wilkins, Claudia Folkert, and Ruthie VanSkiver each scored early on.
Sophomores Ashley Bowen and Mia Rabideau also scored to extend the lead to nine. From start to finish, the Rangers absolutely dominated. They picked apart the Greenville defense throughout the game and played spectacular through balls that led to quick attacks. Defensively, the girls weren’t even phased as there were very few threatening chances from Greenville.
After the 9-0 win, the girls advance to 9-0-1 on the season. With another matchup against Northern on the horizon, the girls will look to continue their momentum against a high-quality opponent.
