Boys varsity golf places second in Lowell Deer Run Jamboree
Boys varsity golf, led by junior captain Isaiah Huempfner, placed second in Lowell Deer Run Jamboree.
The boys competed at Lowell and placed high against some quality opponents despite some tough conditions. At the helm was Isaiah, who shot one of the lowest among all of the opponents with a 38. Shortly trailing him, was sophomore Cam David and freshman Joe Murdock who both shot a 41. The two of them have had stable strokes all season, which aids the Rangers to their low scoring. Justin Turner, who has been outstanding in the season thus far, finished his drives out with some consistent puts, finalizing his score of 43. The boys shot very well this tournament despite the weather and will need to continue it if they want to seed well in states.
The boys have five more events left in the season and play multiple opponents in a Jamboree Ottawa Hills Indian Trails.
