Isaiah Huempfner leads boys varsity golf to a third place finish
On Wednesday, junior captain Isaiah Huempfner led boys varsity golf to a third-place finish in Greenville Jamboree.
The boys teed off against a barrage of talented opponents. It was a long day, but the Rangers pulled out an impressive outcome considering the competition. Isaiah was at the helm with a 37 and was the only Ranger in the 30s. Shortly behind was freshman Joe Murdock, who shot a 41. Seniors Braden Lubben and Justin Turner shot a 43 and 45, respectively, and will have to continue with their low scores in order for the Rangers to succeed. Another key player was senior Bradey Hamill, shooting a 45. Sophomore Nic Stout also made his way up on the leaderboard with a 48.
The Rangers face off against multiple opponents in the Mona Shores Invitational on Monday.
