Nick Sjolin leads boys varsity tennis to 8-0 win against Greenville
Senior captain Nick Sjolin led the boys varsity tennis team tonight in one singles and won his matches 6-2 and 6-0 against the Greenville Yellowjackets.
The team won the game 8-0 with a whole mix up of new players at different positions. At two and three singles were seniors Walker Sjolin and Suchir Gupta. These two went 2-0 on the day as well and were key to the Rangers’ success.
The freshman duo of Sammy Yin and Chris Shang crushed it at one doubles and also won both of their matches. The two have been lethal as of now and showed their talent with the mixed doubles partners. Four doubles of freshmen Nick Yasenchak and Hezekiah Lane also won both games 6-0.
Today was very successful for the Rangers, and the boys will play next at the OK White conference meet at Forest Hills Northern on Friday, October 4 at 9 AM.
