Junior Tommy Payne continues to lead the way for FHC Bowling after having a career day at the lanes on Monday. He had his high scores for the season with a 171 in game 1 and a 209 in game 2.
FHC came into the match looking for revenge after falling to Northview the previous week.
“We won both bakers, lost everything in the first game, rallied and came back strong,” head coach Grant Vermeer said. “[I am] very proud of the team for all the work they put in today.”
Along with Tommy’s amazing performance in game 2, seniors Alex Souza and Ben Kastner each had their great games respectively, with Ben bowling a 183 and Alex bowling a 191.
“Overall, the team rallied well in the end, and we have to continue this momentum into next Monday against Ottawa Hills,” Vermeer said.
The Rangers will take on Ottawa Hills next week Monday, February 3rd at home.
