Player Profile: Grace Pennington
Name: Grace Pennington
Grade: 11
Sport: Dance
When did you start dancing?
“I started dancing when I was eight years old.”
What is your favorite part about being on the dance team?
“My favorite part about being on the dance team is all of the friendships I’ve made throughout the years. I have met some of my best friends through this team and I have also met some of my biggest role models. These people continuously encourage me to put in as much effort possible, and for that, I am forever thankful.”
What are some things you have learned from being on the team?
“I have learned how to be more confident in my abilities and that hard work really does pay off. Not just as a team, but also as an individual. I put in a lot of effort outside of practice to ensure that I’m not falling behind. “
What are some goals you have for the rest of the season?
“We only have about a month until our season is over. Because of this, a major goal I have is for everyone to develop trust in every single person on the team, which will set us up for success next season. A team without trust is not a team, and since we will be losing our seniors soon, we all need to have confidence in each other’s abilities to have an even more successful season next year.”
