Freshman girls basketball picks up eighth conference win against the Cedar Springs Red Hawks
The freshman girls basketball team headed out to Cedar Springs High School on Tuesday to take on the Red Hawks for a second time this season. The Rangers were able to pick up another win against the Red Hawks with a score of 37-12 to remain undefeated in the conference so far this season.
Freshman Anna Hale had a stellar defensive performance Tuesday night. With her high pressure, she was able to cause the Red Hawks to panic and create multiple turnovers. Anna also had six points throughout the night and several rebounds. Alongside Anna was freshman Gracie Vermuelen, who also helped cause over ten turnovers against the Red Hawks. Another Ranger who had a significant impact on the game was freshman Maya Holser, who once again was the Ranger’s leading scorer with 17 points.
The freshman girls basketball team will take on the Lowell Red Arrows this Thursday, February 13. The Rangers will be taking on the Red Arrows at home, and tip-off is at 5:30 pm. If the Rangers can pull-off this win, they will be 9-0 in the conference.
