One of the best moments in television history was the season finale of Kids Baking Championship: Season 10. It was one of those “I remember exactly where I was” scenarios, and its significance to my mom and me is great.

With that being established, season 11 of Kids Baking Championship had a lot to uphold. My mother and I grew fond of dutifully watching the show, and a disappointing succeeding season was simply a blow we couldn’t take.

Needless to say, season 11 had a lot to live up to, and, for the most part, it absolutely did.

This season has the unique subtitle of “BizKids,” and each contestant has their own small baking business. This twist has been really interesting to watch play out and has allowed the producers to incorporate a business theme into almost all the challenges in the season, which has been entertaining.

This special theme also brings in a whole new type of baker. One of my favorite aspects of the show is learning about each kid’s baking background and distinctive personality. Due to their business backgrounds, this part of the show has been even more interesting.

After so many seasons of the show, it seems it would be challenging to continuously find charismatic and confident kids; however, one after another, each baker continues to be a joy to watch on screen. With their wit and energy, each episode is just as interesting as the next.

Personally, my favorite episode thus far has been episode five, “8 Little Bakers go to The Market.” in this episode, the theme is market trends, and the bakers were asked to make ‘trending’ cupcakes. I appreciated the light-hearted comradery this episode provided. It truly reminded me of why I adore this show so much—its feel-good nature.

Furthermore, I respect that this show remains interesting without playing too far into the dramatic aspects of reality television. The producers definitely keep in mind that the stars of this television show are young, and stray away from any ‘drama’ that isn’t lighthearted and childlike.

Knowing that adults behind production do their jobs respectfully, it’s important to analyze the performance of hosting duo Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman. Overall, I’d vote that the pair is enjoyable to watch on screen, and although their jokes sometimes venture into cheesy, it keeps the show family-friendly which is appreciated.

Sincerely, this show is one of my favorites on FoodNetwork. I adore the ambiance of it, and it always finds a way to improve my week. I highly recommend enjoying a baked good throughout watching; otherwise, the sweet treats on screen could get taunting.

Overall, I can almost guarantee that Kids Baking Championship will provide a reason to smile on Mondays. Thus, I cannot recommend enough to remain caught up on this program and stay tuned for its weekly releases.
