Bright shoes are in for spring

These are my top picks for trendy, bright sneakers this spring.
Adidas/Puma/Converse
These are my top picks for trendy, bright sneakers this spring.

Through the past year, I have been seeing an influx of colorful sneakers.

Adidas particularly has been largely in the spotlight. I hopped on the colorful shoe trend last fall with a birthday gift of Adidas Campus 00s in Better Scarlet/Clear Pink/Cloud White. While being very bright, these shoes are also wildly comfortable and come with several shoelace options of red, pink, and heart-patterned.

This trend will definitely be carried into spring as bright colors often make their yearly debut during this season. I’ve been spending a lot of my time lately searching for my next pair of bright sneakers, and these are my favorites.

Adidas Campus 00s in Putty Grey/Preloved Blue/Gold Metallic

These sneakers are not as bright as the other shoes that I’ve been loving for spring, but I love them. I can attest to the comfortability of Campus 00s shoes from my own red ones. These shoes would be perfect for someone who is looking to add a pop of color to an outfit without having to worry about wearing too many colors. The brown soles are perfect to hide the spring mud that will inevitably be stuck to any pair of shoes.

This trend will definitely be carried into spring as bright colors often make their yearly debut during this season.

Adidas X Politics Samba

These are my dream shoes—I am obsessed. They are a minimalist’s nightmare with blue, navy, red, green, and cheetah print on the body of the shoe and four shoelace options of navy, white, green, and yellow. Unfortunately for me, most sizes of this shoe are sold out, including my size. I have been scrounging eBay and Poshmark for resellers of this pair of Sambas. The many bright colors provide the perfect opportunity to tie in many items in an outfit this spring.

Adidas Gazelle Bold Shoes in True Pink/Green/Cloud White

The color combination of these shoes screams spring. I’ve always thought of pink and green being the epitome of spring color combinations. I love that the sole of this shoe isn’t white and the platform features a stacked design. I think any color of the Gazelle Bold Shoes is super cool, but this color is definitely perfect for spring.

Puma Palermo Sneakers in Pink Delight/Green/Gum or Fresh Mint/Fast Pink

Keeping with the pink and green combination are two colorways of the Puma Palermo. Unlike the Adidas Gazelle Bold, these shoes are not platform. However, they do still have a brown sole rather than a white one. The overall design of the Puma Palermo is very similar to the Adidas Samba but is cheaper and less popular.

Converse CONS AS-1 Pro Color in Dark Burgundy/Egret/Gum

Converse may be most known for their Chuck Taylor styles, but they have more. These sneakers aren’t as bright and colorful as the other shoes I mentioned above, but burgundy is sure to be a color of spring. The spring 2024 fashion shows were riddled with burgundy. Though I prefer a bright sneaker, these are perfect for those who like darker colors but still want to be on-trend.

I am a huge believer in wearing fun shoes, and I definitely need to expand my collection. The bright, colorful sneaker trend has been going on for a while and is sure to continue. The shoes I’ve mentioned are sure to be perfect for this spring and the seasons to come.
