Boys Varsity soccer beats Northview 5-1
FHC kept rolling against Northview Monday, October 9th. The Rangers offense came out with a bang, netting five goals into the back of the net. Their defense was phenomenal too, only letting up one goal all night. Senior Eric Conerty had himself a day once again, ending the day with an outstanding three goals and two assists. Senior Ian Abel and Junior Alec Norris added to the scoring as well with one goal each. Some of the more important stats that tend to get left out are the assists stats. Senior Nolan Vandegrift and Junior Geoffrey Batterbee both set up teammates in this game, each tallying an assist to their stats. The Ranger defense also stood out although they did not see much action, when they did they were quick to smother the ball. Senior goalie Jared Ireland ended the game with four saves.
Next up for the Rangers is Greenville at home on Tuesday, October 10th. This is a huge game, because it is senior night. Look for all the Seniors to play very well banking off of the momentum of this special night. They are currently 12-3-2 and are looking to end the season out with 2 more wins.
