JV volleyball takes home the win at Cedar Springs
The JV volleyball team took on the Cedar Springs Red Hawks on Thursday night and pulled out with the win. The Rangers played hard throughout the whole night, winning the first set 25-23 and the second set 25-5. The Lady Rangers went into the game with the right mentality; they were going to play hard in hopes of winning. Their main goal was to work hard and to win. By working hard on the court with their incredible offense, the Rangers were able to achieve their goal.
During the game, sophomore Megan Raisch used her knowledge of the court to place some balls in the spots where Cedar Springs could not get to them in time. Megan also set very well, allowing her teammates to attack on the opposing team. She also kept her team in high spirits by cheering them on and encouraging everyone to play their best. The team as a whole, was able to move the ball around really well along with communicating during the plays.
The Ranger offense was on fire tonight, but that’s nothing new to this team. They hit Cedar Springs when they least expected it and attacked the ball ferociously. The girls moved the ball all around the court and that’s what helped them earn the element of surprise when attacking on the Red Hawks. The team hit consistently which put more points on the board for FHC.
The Lady Rangers continuously impress by winning most of their OK White conference games. The team looks sharp and ready to attack for conference champions, they are working on keeping a keen defense and perfecting their offense. The Rangers face Lowell in the upcoming week, this is going to be a big game for FHC as Lowell is the biggest JV volleyball competition. If FHC beats Lowell, the chances of winning the conference are very high. This Ranger team is a force to be reckoned with, they’ve done exceptionally well.
