Girls JV basketball falls to Grandville in season-opener 41-26
This past Friday night the girls JV basketball team was revamped as they battled Grandville in their opening game. Although the Rangers lost 41-26 to the Bulldogs, this game sets the tone for the upcoming season as they are now more mentally and physically prepared. This game was a disappointment but the team knows it will not affect their chances in upcoming conference games.
Leading scorers for the Rangers were freshman Katie Tellier with 12 points and sophomore Alli Ringler with four points. Other important players, freshmen Brittney Probst and Katie Majick, began their season strong and stood out in their first JV game. Going into the second game other individuals will begin to stand out as they head into conference games.
The JV girls basketball team is headed into another non-conference game this Thursday against East Kentwood. Going into practice this week, the team will focus on offensive execution and fixing defensive breakdowns to help prepare for the Falcons.
