Why do you play basketball?

“I play basketball because it is very active. There is always something happening in the game, even if you’re not the one with the ball [which makes] it super exciting. I also think it teaches you good qualities, like discipline and respect.”

Who has been your biggest inspiration in your basketball career?

“My friends and girls that have always been on my team are my biggest inspiration. Most of the same girls have been on my team since seventh grade and we know how to play well together and build eachother up. They are my biggest inspiration because they always cheer me on and they push me to put in [my] best effort.”

What is your personal goal for this season?

“My personal goal is to improve my offense and be able to score more points than I already do. I think I can do this by getting open faster and moving around or calling for the ball more.”

What has playing basketball at FHC taught you?

“Through my three years of playing FHC basketball, I have really learned to embrace my teammates. I’ve also learned to love the sport. All of my coaches have really pushed me to do better and want the best for me, which feels really great as a player. For my whole basketball career I have played the post position and I really like it. I think that this year is going to be my best year; the team has great potential and [we have] a really positive outlook on upcoming games.”
