“My mom is very interesting. She works a lot; she works very hard. She’s very generous, and she wants me and my brothers to be very independent and responsible. She’s really supportive of us, but she always makes sure we’re doing good things. One of my favorite memories with my mom was when last year during spring break, we went on an overnight trip to Mackinaw City. Two miles out, there’s a dark sky park called The Headlands. We went to watch the sunset and stargaze, and it was pretty cool. It was kind of breathtaking– they don’t allow artificial light at the park, so we could actually see the stars.”
