Girls freshman basketball loses fourth straight game to Cedar Springs 37-24
Girls freshman basketball was defeated by Cedar Springs Tuesday night 37-24. Freshman Audrey Sidebotham was able to score 17 points throughout the night and was the leading scorer for the Rangers.
Audrey earned the only five points for the team in the first quarter. She scored another two in the second, in addition to three from freshman Ella Sloat, to give the Rangers a total of ten points in the first half to Cedar Springs’ 21. Audrey was once again the only player to score for the Rangers in the third quarter with two buckets and a pair of free throws for six points. The third ended with the Red Hawks ahead 31-16. The team was finally able to outscore Cedar Springs in the last quarter 8-6.
The team’s next game is this Thursday against Lowell at Lowell. The Rangers will be looking for their first conference win.
