After coming off a rough meet last week, the boys varsity ski team switched gears and had a successful run on the slopes yesterday. Finishing third overall as a team in the SL and fifth overall as a team in the GS, FHC managed to bring home a small victory.

Having another amazing night was senior Ben Finkelstein. Ben placed third overall in the mens GS, with a first run time of 24.34 seconds and a second run of 24.44 seconds. Ben also placed second overall in the mens GS with a starting run time of 29.59 seconds and an ending run of 29.35 seconds.

The Rangers also had three guys place in the top twenty for the SL races. Senior Jordan Ysseldyke was able to grab 18th place, along with junior Nathan Jenkins and sophmore Sam Werkema taking 19th and 20th place, respectively.

The boys varsity ski team will race again on Jan. 26 at Caberfae Ski Area in Cadillac.
