JV boys basketball wins its third conference game against FHN 39-35
On Thursday, the Rangers faced the Huskies of FHN at FHC’s home court. FHC took the win with a 39-35 final score, securing its third conference win so far this season. During this game, the team had the same amount of intensity that it had against Lowell last week, leading it to another victory.
A big part of this win were freshmen Jacob Ervin and Chris Battiste; the team fed Jacob the ball and he scored all throughout the game, as FHN had no response to stop him. Chris pulled the Rangers ahead by two in the last 30 seconds with a three-pointer to secure the lead. FHC also had a clutch defensive play in the final seconds to keep FHN’s star player from scoring.
The Rangers currently hold a 3-3 conference record. They will take on Wyoming at FHC on Tuesday and look to carry the momentum from this win to secure another victory.
