Girls freshman basketball falls to Ottawa Hills 36-26
In its second to last game of the season, girls freshman basketball faced off against the Bengals of Ottawa Hills. Despite 7 points from both freshmen Morghan Tilton and Ella Sloat, the team lost 36-26.
The girls kept up with the Bengals throughout the first half and were only down by 1 after both the first and second quarters. After the first they trailed 8-7 and then were down 15-14 at the half. The Bengals, however, increased their lead by holding the Rangers to 4 points in the third quarter. This put them up 22-18 after the 8 minutes. The Ranger defense let up in the final quarter and allowed Ottawa Hills to score 14 points, leading to the 36-26 victory for the home team.
The Rangers have one more game left in the season, as they try to get their first conference win. Their final game is tomorrow at 4 against rival Forest Hills Northern at home.
