Girls varsity water polo falls to Zeeland East 9-1

On Thursday night, the girls varsity water polo team hit the road to take on Zeeland East. Sadly, Forest Hills couldn’t bridge the score gap of 9-1 and took a loss for the game.

FHN senior captain Kristy Nikolajuk was the player who scored Forest Hills’ only goal of the game. However, the team did put up 34 shots on goal. Although the Rangers attempted many times at the goal, the Zeeland East defense was just too tight to let anything in. Despite the loss, FH did a fair job at moving the ball around and trying to score.

Forest Hills water polo takes on multiple opponents tonight and tomorrow at Jenison in a tournament. The next home game is Tuesday, where the Rangers will take on West Ottawa. They’re still looking good so far this season, despite starting with a couple losses, and look to make it to states and earn a higher title than last year.
