Varsity water polo is defeated by East Kentwood 9-5

On Thursday night, Forest Hills water polo took on East Kentwood at the EK pool. Unfortunately, Forest Hills couldn’t pull out with the win and the game ended with a final score of 9-5. Despite the loss, there were some good plays made and the team was able to keep the score gap closer than it’s been in past games.

Northern sophomore Megan Plantamura scored 2 goals to get some points up on the board for FH. FHN senior Kristy Nikolajuk took some good shots, despite not finding the back of the net. Central sophomore Maggie Zorn also had a stand out performance last night and did an exceptional job. Although they lost, FH did a great job on their defensive side.

In order to move up in the conference, Forest Hills needs to improve their offensive plays and increase the defensive toughness. They head back to East Kentwood tonight and tomorrow to play in the East Kentwood Invite where they hope to come out with a couple of wins.
