Girls Varsity Lacrosse crushes Caledonia 19-3
This past Thursday, FH girls varsity lacrosse took on Caledonia and brought home the win with a score of 19-3. The team had a very strong showing overall but a few key players stood out. Players such as FHE senior Emma Curcuru on the defensive side and FHN juniors Molly Mullet and Kay Zubkus along with FHC senior Kelli Bailey on the offensive side led the scoring in this one.
The girls came out to play from the start by already achieving an 11-1 lead just by half time. In the second half the team nearly doubled their score finishing with 19 points overall. Defense came out strong in this one, only allowing 3 points throughout the whole game. With offense definitely being the name of the game for FH, they look ahead to keep putting it to work for future victories.
The girls now stand at a strong overall of record of 3-1. This win is a big confidence booster heading into a round of games in Birmingham this weekend, where they are likely to face some fierce competition. FH looks to continue to be consistent on the offensive and defensive ends. They are going to need their scorers like Molly and Kelli to keep finding the back of the net, as well as continue to have lights out defense in order to succeed in Birmingham.
