Boys varsity lacrosse takes down Orchard Lake St. Mary's on Saturday

On Saturday afternoon, the boys varsity lacrosse team took on Orchard Lake St. Mary’s and won 21-8. Senior attack Tobey Hendricks scored 8 of the 21 goals. On defense, junior Cam Dienes destroyed everything in his path to leave junior goalie Jack Nolan to save minimal goals.

In the first thirteen seconds of the game, junior Tate Hallock put one on the board to set the tone early. Senior attack Tobey Hendricks scored 6 goals during this half with many assists from Tate. Senior middie Patrick English also created chances for senior attack Bryce Clay who scored 2 in the first half. Junior middie Luke Majick also not only created opportunities but scored off of three runs he made.

In the second half, senior Kade Shomin outperformed in the mid-field, aggressively blocking a lot of Orchard Lake players from crossing over the midline and then getting the ball to the attackers, in order for both Tobey and Bryce to score 2 more goals each. Junior face-off specialist Logan Wedder won most of the face-offs and ended up scoring off of one of them for a non-assist goal.

The boys look ahead to Eastern on Thursday night at home and will work to defend their 7-0 record.
