Rangers defeat rival FHN 4-0
Varsity girls soccer pulled out another win against their rivals: The Huskies of Forest Hills Northern. The Rangers did not crack under the pressure of the game and were able to defeat the Huskies 4-0, making their record 4-0 as well.
To start the first half, senior Hannah Bowling received a ball in the box and placed her shot out of the goalies reach for the first goal. Then, freshman Megan Clayton gave a beautiful pass to junior Ashley Ward who took a touch around the goalie and scored making it 2-0 at the half. Again, in the second half, the Rangers pulled off two more goals making the score 4-0 to end the game.
The Rangers’ key players came from the defensive line. Senior Bree Probst led the defense and made some key tackles in the backfield. Along with Bree, freshman Whitney Currie and sophomore Ally Francisco were other key players in the win making sure no one got past them and getting up the field to help the team on offense.
