Varsity lacrosse blows past Eastern 20-8
The Rangers varsity lacrosse team took on the Hawks of Forest HIlls Eastern on Thursday night and came out on top 20-8. The Rangers earned this win with a strategical offense and hard working players all around.
Some of the top scorers were seniors Bryce Clay and Patrick English and juniors Luke Magick and Tate Hallock. These offensive players did a great job of efficiently moving the ball around the field. Senior Kyle Basch did a great job on defense at shutting down any offensive efforts coming from the opposing team, especially in the second half.
The second half was when the Rangers really hit the ground running. After somewhat of a slow start the team was scoring many goals and keeping Eastern out of the Rangers’ half of the field. Junior goalkeeper Jack Nolan had a fantastic game with many saves and a complete shutout in the second half. The boys struggled with picking up ground balls but completely turned it around in the second half and came out dominant and ready to work on their weaker parts of the game.
FHC remains unbeaten and continues to work toward the State Championship they set their sights on early in the season.
