After being defeated earlier in the season by EGR, Forest Hills girls varsity lacrosse got its revenge on the Pioneers Monday night at Pioneer Stadium with a final score of 13-12. FHC seniors Anna Tomsheck and Kelli Bailey along with FHE senior Josie Horlings were key on the offensive end. Defensive stars were led by FHC senior Lynsey Davison and FHN sophomore Emma Curcuru. FH now shifts their attention to a rematch on the road against Caledonia Wednesday night.

In the first half, Forest Hills started out strong by moving the ball well and keeping a comfortable pace. Anna and Kelli were the main scorers for FHC and really helped control the tempo early. FH played a great first half overall and had a lot of confidence heading into the locker room. The second half was much like the first, but the Pioneers made a later run to make things interesting. Forest Hills dug deep in the clutch and pulled out an enormous win against their arch rival EGR.

This win puts FH at 6-0-1 on the season, as this team looks absolutely dominant heading into important games later in the season against teams such as Rockford, Cranbrook, and Okemos. With the way this team is playing right now, it looks like a top contender for the state championship.
