JV boys golf takes four 1st place finishes
Over the last week, boys JV golf had five matches and took 1st place in four of them. The team placed first at the FHC, FHN, and Northview Jamborees as well as the Kenowa Hills JV Invite. Their only non winning tournament came at the Grand Rapids Christian Invite where they placed 8th.
FHC earned 16 Top Ten Individual Finishes in the last five matches. At the FHC Jamboree freshman Cam David tied for 1st, sophomore Mitch Haberman tied for 4th, freshman Nic Stout took 7th and freshman Logan Verport tied for 10th. At the FHN Jamboree freshman Josh Stevenson tied for 1st, sophomore John Corey and Nic took 3rd and 4th, sophomore Cole Beaufait tied for 5th, and sophomore Kyle Zevchik tied for 8th. At the Northview Jamboree, Cam once again finished in the top three, taking 2nd, Nic tied for 6th, and Josh tied for 9th.
Cam and sophomore Braden Lubben tied for 1st at the Kenowa Hills JV Invite and John took 6th. Cam was the only FHC golf member to place in the top 10 at the Grand Rapids Christian Invite, as he took 3rd.
FHC JV golf has five more matches left in the season. They have been dominant in the first half of play and look to continue the trend going into the final matches of the season.
