The girls varsity lacrosse team took another big victory Tuesday night against Okemos with a final score of 16-9. Senior Kelli Bailey continued to shine for the Forest Hills offense, having some key goals to extend the lead and keep the confidence level high. The defense was also huge for FH, as Okemos is a very high-scoring and productive offense usually. Forest Hills shifts their attention now to their final two games of the season with Friday against Brighton and Saturday against Cranbrook.

The first half was a great half for FH, as they got off to a very hot start by scoring goals early. Okemos had no answer for Kelli and the Forest Hills offense, as the team went into the locker room at the half with a high morale. In the second half, FH looked very strong defensively. FHN junior Molly Mullet was a huge contribution for the FH defense, as she has been all season.

This win puts the girls record at a very strong 12-2-1 record. This was big for the team’s confidence heading into two huge games against Brighton and Cranbrook. Forest Hills needs these two games to be wins, especially heading into playoffs, where every game counts. FH is going to need to bring their A-game this weekend in order to defeat two very good teams.
