Boys varsity lacrosse wins 19-3 and advances to State Finals
In the MHSAA State semifinals the Rangers took on Orchard Lake St. Mary’s in Lansing. The Rangers came out on top easily to win 19-3.
The team’s aggressive offense and scrappy defense out shined the play of their opponent. Senior Bryce Clay and junior Tate Hallock were key to the Ranger offense. Bryce led the team in scoring with 7 goals and Tate had 4. Senior Patrick English also contributed with 3 goals, as well as junior Luke Majick with 2.
This Ranger team has been dominant all year long, losing only one game by 1 goal in double overtime. FHC is headed to the State Championship today in Howell against rival East Grand Rapids at 2pm. The Rangers and Pioneers have met in the finals for three years in a row, with each team taking the title once. FHC was victorious against EGR 14-7 earlier in the season and will look to bring another State Championship home today.
