Boys JV tennis falls hard to Rockford 9-1
After an impressive win over Northview last week, the Ranger boys JV tennis team traveled up north to take on the mighty Rockford Rams, where they took a heavy loss 9-1. The one win came from the freshman duo Sammie Rouvillois and Liam Sweetman, who edged out their opponents 10-6.
Rockford is one of the better opponents the Rangers will face this season, as the Rams shut out FHC 4 out of the 10 matches played between the two teams. Notable well-played games came from the duo of junior Shane Hubble and sophomore Aidan O’ Meara, along with the young freshman duo of Tommy Laidlaw and Jack Guikema.
FHC puts this loss behind them, as they take on the Forest Hills Eastern Hawks as their next opponent on Friday, September 21. They’ve been 1-2 in their last three games, a win against FHE will balance this out and put FHC in a good position to win in the OK White Conference.
