FHC cross country has a decent performance at Cougar Falcon Invite
The FHC boys and girls cross country teams had a decent performance at this weekend’s Cougar Falcon Invite. The boys team was able to secure fourth out twelve teams, and the girls team took seventh out of ten teams.
The boys team was led by senior Geoffrey Batterbee who secured fifth out of 103 racers. Geoffrey had another phenomenal performance with a final time of 16:36.8. Along with Geoffrey, junior Gabe Carlson took tenth place at the meet. Gabe’s running time was 16:50.3, less than two seconds behind the ninth-place runner. The last runner from the FHC boys team to finish in the top fifteen was freshman Sam Yeager. Sam took thirteenth place with a final run time of 17:10.3.
For the FHC girls team, junior Nicole Marco was the leading runner. Nicole placed sixth out of the 96 other girls running; her time ended up being 19:27.4. FHC’s next runners to finish the race were junior Chloe Zeien and senior Susannah Bennett. Chloe finished thirty-third with a run time of 20:56.3, with Susannah right behind her in thirty-fourth place with a time of 21:00.1.
The FHC cross country teams will race again Saturday, September 29 at the Allendale Falcon Invite.
