FHC varsity cross country teams take fourth and fifth at this weekend’s Allendale Invitational

The FHC varsity cross country teams attended the Allendale Invitational this past weekend. A few individuals stood out for the Rangers, but overall the teams weren’t able to bring home a victory. The girls team secured fourth place, and the boys team took fifth.

For the girls, junior Nicole Marco took seventh place in the race on Saturday; her final time was 19:14.4. Another girl who placed in the top fifteen for the girls team was sophomore Whitney Currie. Whitney’s final racing time was 19:40.4, allowing her to place twelfth overall out of the 68 other racers.

The FHC boys team had three of their racers place in the top twenty out of the 66 runners. The first runner to cross the finish line was senior Geoffrey Batterbee. Geoffrey placed second with a time of 16:03.3. Next to finish for FHC was junior Gabe Carlson; he finished in seventh place with a time of 16:16.8. Lastly, freshman Samuel Yeager finished in nineteenth place for the Rangers with a final time of 16:47.9.

The FHC cross country teams have another race this Wednesday October 3. This is their OK White Jamboree and will be held at Greenville.
