Boys varsity soccer falls to Grand Haven 5-2

The winning streak for the Ranger boys varsity soccer team has, unfortunately, come to an end, as FHC fell to the Grand Haven Buccaneers Saturday night in Grand Haven. Standout players included junior Sammy Postlewait and senior Kai Hagadorn, two offensive players who have contributed a lot over the course of the season. The Rangers shift gears to a tough game against a very good Forest Hills Northern team at Husky stadium Tuesday night.

Grand Haven took over offensively from the get-go. This was the most goals let up by the Rangers but to a very good Grand Haven team. Despite 5 goals being let in, junior goalie Kyler Williams hung tight and never gave up throughout the course of the game. The 2 goals from FHC came from Sammy and Kai, as they have consistently been contributors to the Ranger offensive firepower.

The Rangers now stand at 10-5-1 with a big rivalry matchup against the FHN Huskies on deck. Last time, FHN defeated the Rangers 2-1 on FHC’s home turf. The Rangers will try to get their revenge on the Huskies and make their final run at the OK White title.
