Girls varsity golf takes third at Regionals, earns spot in State Tournament
Battling through constant rain on the back nine holes, the girls varsity golf team was able to earn third place at the MHSAA Regionals and secure a spot in the State Tournament. With a team score of 444, FHC finished behind Reeths Puffer and Forest Hills Northern, who placed first and second, respectively.
Junior Ally Ringler continues to lead this team, as she shot an 83 overall yesterday. Junior Amanda Ehrlich was close behind with an 85, followed by senior Kayley Reynolds with an 87. Seniors Kacie Rispler and Haley Hamill also competed well and had impressive scores with a 94 and 95, respectively.
The Rangers will have just over a week to prepare for the State Tournament, which will be held next Friday at Michigan State University. For this final outing of the 2018 season, FHC looks to improve upon their eighteenth-place finish in the State Tournament last season.
