Varsity volleyball defeats Greenville 3-1
After being defeated by Lowell on Senior Night last week, the varsity volleyball team was able to bounce back and take a win over Greenville 3-1 last night. This was the team’s final conference game and its conference season ends at 8-4.
The team took games one, three, and four. The first game was very close at 25-23. Game two was close as well, but FHC ended up being defeated 25-21. The Rangers reversed it in game three to win 25-21, and then closed it out in game four 25-16.
The Rangers dominated at the net throughout the entire night. Senior Katrina Bodkins had 16 kills and 5 block during the night, senior Caileigh Treash had 4 kills and 2 blocks, and sophomore Tatum Otolski had 6 kills and 2 blocks. In addition to this, junior Lauren Schofield had 9 kills and freshman Sophia Shields had 8. Senior Kate Ryan was once again a threat from all positions on the court and had 32 assists and 5 kills. Freshman Morghan Tilton had 2 aces and 7 digs and sophomore Julia Bouma had 13 digs.
Districts begin for the team at Lowell and, once again, against Lowell this coming Monday.
