Varsity hockey shuts out East Grand Rapids 4-0
After starting off the season with two wins in the team’s first two games, the Rangers shutout rival East Grand Rapids by a score of 4-0. With this win, the boys’ record stands at a solid 3-0.
This game was a strong showing on both the offense and defense. To open up the scoring for the Rangers was junior Cole Beaufait. Following Cole was senior Nathan Hartline, putting one in his first goal of the season for the Rangers. Already up 2-0, the Rangers tacked on 2 more goals coming from junior Peter Bardelli, and rounding out the offensive showing was Cole to score the last goal of the night. In the end, the Rangers went up by 4 while giving the Pioneers nothing, ending in a shutout.
With this win, the Rangers start off the season undefeated in their first three games. This upcoming weekend the Rangers take on Bay Western High on Friday night and Heritage High Saturday afternoon at home.
